January 22 - Go, Go, Go

38th Inner Coast Range North Walk --

now having walked from Winters north on 89, west 29, zig-zagging 88, 26, 87, 25, 86A, 23, then backtracking 22 northeast to 85B...

today finishing this from Lamb Valley Slough,

in

view

of

various

ridges

(including Rocky, Blue, and Capay)

past

the

Canal,

the

intersection

of

19H...

and

extensive,

besotted

fields

and

orchards...

to

the

junction of

16 -- wow!

Beyond this, it will be plenteous strolls on the latter, perhaps up through Cache Creek Canyon, if the road and trails ever re-open.

Just

getting

to

the

site

today

a bit of a challenge,

as the road to Esparto is closed,

at least at the onset,

due

to

flooding,

necessitating

detours.

Afterwards, the passageway re-opens, barely,

to hydroplaning over the outflow,

on the soggy 19th day of spring (high for the third day in a row, 55; 57 in Southern Yolo), 1.35 additional wetness, total 26.22 since the rainfall year began on the first of July.
